Arc flash warning labels

Arc Flash Label is one of important method that NFPA 70E standard defines in Hierarchy of Risk Controls to awareness controls by warning labels, signs and alarms to warn workers about electrical hazards.

Electrical equipment such as switchboards, panelboards, industrial control panels, meter socket enclosures and motor control centers to require examination, adjustment, servicing, or maintenance while energized shall be marked with a  warning labels.

Necessary informations about arc flash and electric shock hazards will be provided to the workers so that a hazard assessment can be made before performing work safely, including:

– Incident Energy

– Limited Approach Boundary

– Restricted Approach Boundary

– Minimum PPE Requirements
